How Long Does The Procedure Last?
The outpatient procedure lasts 30 to 45 minutes. General or local anesthesia with sedation is used.
How Do I Prepare For Surgery?
Be sure to tell Dr. Bradley if you smoke or are taking any vitamins, medications, herbal supplements, or drugs. It’s also important to tell Dr. Bradley of any dental or gum problems. You may need to refrain from eating or drinking the night before the surgery.
What Does Surgery Involve?
If no other procedures are taking place, a small incision is made on your lower eyelid or inside your upper lip to make a pocket for the implant. The implant is inserted and stitches close the incision.
