Chin Implant
What is a Chin Implant?
This procedure changes the balance and shape of the face to build up a receding chin.
Am I a candidate for this procedure?
Younger patients who would like more balanced and proportionate facial traits, as well as older patients who are looking for a more youthful appearance are good candidates for this procedure. Expectations must be realistic. For a private consultation, please call Dr. Bradley at (954) 446-6464.
What are the benefits of this procedure?
A chin implant can help self-esteem while enhancing your appearance and balancing your facial traits.
How long does the procedure last?
The outpatient procedure lasts 30 minutes to 1 hour.
How do I prepare for surgery?
Be sure to tell Dr. Bradley if you smoke or are taking any vitamins, medications, or drugs. It’s also important to tell Dr. Bradley of any dental or gum problems. You may need to refrain from eating or drinking the night before the surgery.
What does surgery involve?
A small incision is made along the lower lip inside the mouth to make a pocket. An implant of proper size and shape for you is then placed within the pocket, and sutures close the incision. The chin is often taped after surgery to minimize the discomfort and swelling.
